England's Prince Harry raced the world's fastest runner today, and shockingly he won! Of course, he had to trick Usain Bolt to win. Just what did the party prince do to distract the runner during his trip to Jamaica?
Looking at a video of the race, it seems that Prince Harry pointed to something, and when Usain Bolt was distracted, he sprinted off down the track. Bolt said, "He cheated, I said we would have a rematch in London 2012 and Harry said 'I'm busy.'"
It seems that Bolt took the "defeat" in stride, though, as he laughed while jogging down the track behind the wayward prince. Of his competitor, the sprinter said, "He's cool, very down to earth. When you meet dignitaries you think it will be difficult, but he just wanted to laugh—it was an honour and a pleasure to meet him. I'm still the fastest man in the world so he has a long way to go."
There is no doubt that Prince Harry needs any advantage he could possibly find to even have a chance in a race with the world's fastest man, so it's not terribly surprising he resorted to such trickery. What would you do to gain advantage in a race against Bolt?
It sounds like the prince's trip to Jamaica has been successful. He is there on behalf of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, as part of her Jubilee celebration.
