Prayers of Gratitude
Some old folk have grandkids, others do not
Destiny has written the script, it never lies
Whatever may be, accept gracefully your lot
Have a look around with wide open eyes
This beautiful world of ours is full of wonders
Destiny has written the script, it never lies
Birds, bees, flowers and trees, mountains and rivers
These are the gifts Nature on you has bestowed
This beautiful world of ours is full of wonders
Prayers of gratitude to God have flowed
Take care of His abundant garden on Earth
These are the gifts Nature on you has bestowed
You’ve been on a long journey since birth
You’ve crawled through tunnels, climbed lofty peaks
Take care of His abundant garden on Earth
You’ve travelled the many channels a soul seeks
You’ve crawled through tunnels, climbed lofty peaks
Some old folk have grandkids, others do not
Whatever may be, accept gracefully your lot

THANK YOU FOR SHARING AT SURREAL CIRCUS!
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Accepting the reality of the situation you're in, releases the energy you're wasting on resisting the existence of that reality, enabling you to deal with the situation more constructively. I've experienced this to be true many times in my life.

Btw, in Australian English, the usage of folk or folks depends on the context. Folk is used to denote people in general, whereas plural folks is colloquial for one's relatives or as a form of address for everyone present: "That's all, folks." Your terzanelle and Stephen's flow easily, but some have commented that this form is difficult. What's your experience in writing a terzanelle?
