How Much is Snooki's Engagement Ring Worth?

There have been so many rumors about Snooki's supposed pregnancy and engagement to boyfriend Jionni LaValle. Supposedly, she has been sporting a big rock on her finger and it seems to be worth quite a bit according to a diamond expert. If it isn't an engagement ring, she has surely given herself quite an expensive gift.

Well, according to a diamond expert that Wetpaint Entertainment had a chat with, the worth of her ring is upwards of $150,000! "In total, I'd estimate the ring is 5 carats," an expert from Forevermark shared recently. "The main stone is princess cut and there's an eternity band made up of pave diamonds." By the sounds of it, this is an engagement ring rather than just a regular ring. "From a high-end retailer, this ring would cost at least $150,000 - but that price could be even more depending on the size of the pave stones in the band," the expert continues.

So did Snooki pay for her own ring or does her boyfriend Jionni really have that kind of money? Everyone knows that she has tons of money from her appearances on Jersey Shore, her appearances and endorsement deals, including Zantrex 3, but does Jionni really have $150,000 in the bank? And this diamond expert also explains that the ring isn't pink as The New York Post recently wrote. "I don't think it's pink, but if it is that could easily add another $100,000 to $150,000 to the overall cost."

Hopefully, the ring's value could be revealed when she makes the engagement public.

In the mind of the person asking the question in the title, this may well be a valid question, placed on Gather to provoke answers and discussion. However, to take it for what it is, I wonder why the question was asked in the first place; the fact that anyone has a ring on ther finger is, in the 21st Century, somewhat outdated, considering that 'living together' is a status more popular with many who want to be close to someone they love, without the religious shackles. Then there is the curiosity about its value; what purpose would it serve to know the intimate details of a materialistic symbol, other than to compare with others. Does a valuable ring make a sincere partner even more sincere and less likely to become disillusioned with both the other partner and the institution of marriage? In addition, does the fact that this individual, whom we are debating, is, or is not, pregnant, make her a more important person than others in her apparent condition?
Finally, it could be said that following the 'career', and the dress sense, of an overpaid 25 year old, whose claim to fame was because of a TV reality show, does not bring about a better personality. Neither does being in a TV reality show.
