Former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron has been blasted by GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) and told that his beliefs are older than his 1980s TV character, Mike Seaver.
According to a report from the Huffington Post, Cameron spoke with Piers Morgan on his talk show Friday night and made some incredibly derogatory remarks against the GLBT community. Cameron said;
Marriage was defined by God a long time ago. Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve—one man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should, either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't.
When Piers Morgan asked him how he'd react if one of his sons came to him and said he was gay, Cameron said the following:
I wouldn't say "That's great, son, as long as you're happy." There are all sorts of issues we need to wrestle through in our life... Just because you feel one way doesn't mean we should act on everything we feel.
Herndon Graddick is the Senior Director of Programs at GLAAD. He told TMZ that Cameron is "out of step with a vast majority of Americans, particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation."
GLAAD reportedly even plans to monitor Kirk Cameron's bookings and acting kids in order to make certain that "the news and entertainment industry is aware of his outrageous anti-gay views."

Lots of Christians have pointed out what the Bible says with regard to homosexuality; however, even more have pointed out that it's not the place of the people here on earth to judge one another. Isn't that someone else's job?
Do you think Kirk Cameron's beliefs border on antiquity?
