My job literally made me sick :(

Last week, I went to work & was asked to work in the back room alone for 8 hours.

I had no problem; I actually work better & faster when I work alone. The problem was that the heat wasn't on in the back room & it was colder than an ice storm back there that day.

I don't know how to turn on the heat, and I didn't want to get into trouble for trying or for asking management to waste their time by going all the way to the back room to turn on the heat.

So I just stood back there, in the cold, working away in a short-sleeved work shirt, as always.

When I went to lunch, I told my hubby & he suggested that I wear my winter coat when I went back to work... so I did. But by then, the damage was done.

I had three days off work after that day, and I was sick for all three days! I even had to cancel on my friend "N" because I didn't want to get her sick as well.

I'm just lucky that it wasn't worse than it was. Next time, I will definitely ask someone to turn on the heat or show me how to... Geez!
