The starpower of Kristen Stewart is this: 15 minutes before the almost insanely anticipated Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show even started, the words #BalenciagaStew were already trending worldwide. Streaming on Balenciaga's website and numerous fashion media outlets, thousands tuned in to see the first show of the second day of Paris Fashion Week - and the Fierce One.
Wearing head to toe Balenciaga, in an ensemble totalling $ 3,145, K-Stew rocked tighter than tight leather leggings, tubed slingbacks, and a gorgeously delicate, sleeveless, flower-detailed, green/grey silk top. Taking her place in a "you-can't-touch-this" front row, the actress was seated with Franca Sozzani, Salma Hayek, Anna Wintour, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Grace Coddington.
Impressive.

The show itself, created by Balenciaga designer and creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere, was stunning. If traditional tweed is your thing, this probably wasn't the show for you. But if, as Paris Fashion Weekly described it, you're into "daringly mixing high and low couture ... rubbery stencil-cut kimonos and even protective scuba vests," with future-fabrics, retro 80s structured coats, heavy metal hommages, sheer dresses and panelled skirts - Balenciaga had it all, and then some.

The internet, currently groaning under the weight of fashionistas tagging updated pictures of the triumphant show and the big named guests who graced it, all agreed on one thing - Kristen Stewart came, saw, and wowed.
