Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is fearing the limitations her mental illness may put on her life, and is hoping it doesn't prevent her from caring for her 2-year-old son Jace.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the Teen Mom star has recently admitted she suffers from bipolar disorder, and now she fears the repercussions she might face if the disease isn't controlled.
Jenelle has told her family members and friends that she is bipolar. She has even discussed with them the medication she is on and the doctors appointments that are vital to her well-being. Still the reassurance she receives from these necessary steps won't take her doubts away.
"It's one of the reasons she's wondered if she should give up Jace," a source says. "She's that scared she won't be able to take care of him down the road."
Of course all of this makes one wonder exactly how long Jenelle Evans has known she suffers from bipolar disorder. If she was dabbling in drugs or drinking while taking her prescribed meds, it could explain--but not excuse--some of her bizarre behaviors in recent months.
"She is really, really scared," another source says. "Jenelle is worried she'll end up going off the deep end. It's her nightmare that she is going to end up in the psych ward."
It has long appeared as though Jace was in the best hands possible under Barbara Evans's care. And while a diagnosis of bipolar disorder does explain some things with regard to the Teen Mom, it is probably best that Jace stays in her custody until a doctor deems Jenelle Evans able to care for him herself.
How do you feel about Jenelle's diagnosis and her future with Jace?
