The big news this week in the NFL is Philadelphia putting wide receiver DeSean Jackson on the trading block. The Eagles have a number of quality receivers on the team, but according to ESPN the four-year pro has fallen out of favor with the team and they will listen to any offers for the 25-year-old.
Jackson has had problems on and off the field since his arrival in Philadelphia, but the wide out has made 229 receptions for over 4,000 yards and 21 touchdowns in his career. The latest rumor has the St Louis as one of the team's that could acquire the speedy receiver as the Rams were 30th in the league in passing last year with just 179 yards per game.
St Louis traded for Brandon Lloyd during the 2011-12 season, but the former Denver Broncos wide receiver is testing the free agent market and that could leave this team with little depth and talent at the receiver position.
With a new coach on board and a young quarterback leading this team, look for the Rams to make some major changes on the team's roster and adding Jackson at the right price would be a great start to the NFL off-season for a franchise that has struggled over the last few years.
