I don't seem to post much anymore but I felt like breaking out a bit. Monday signals the beginning of a hell week of sorts for me. My best friend who is the closest thing I have to a brother lost his mom Friday, so this is funeral week. Its really rough on them. While his mom wasn't in the greatest health, this was somewhat unexpected. Not that a death anytime brings joy of any type. If you are a praying person, please send up a prayer or two for his family. It is much appreciated.
As for me, Some of you may remember that almost two years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes. Since that point I have lost 80 lbs and gained a few back. I joined a new gym last month and we are waiting for it to open so I can start my workouts and continue to try to get healthy. Its the same gym that sponsors Biggest Loser and really seems nice (as well as cheap!). I will try to remember to let you know how it goes.
Like I said at the beginning, I haven't posted in a while. After stopping "social Writing" or being a Skyword writer, I kinda lost heart for writing here except to comment. Lately I have been writing book reviews again and maybe the bug to do some "me" writing has come back. Guess we'll see. Anyway..time to catch some z's! Catch ya's on the flip side

I lost my creative flow almost two years ago now. Depression tends to rob me of my creativity as well as thought processes. I hope you are able to get back into the swing of writing. Your musings always made for an interesting read.
Losing 80 lbs is remarkable and regaining a few is not uncommon. Hopefully when the gym opens you will make good use of that membership. I belong to Planet Fitness. April will mark one year since I began going on a regular basis. I will never be a gym rat but I know going helps my moods. I lost 30 lbs since last April without changing my horrible eating habits. Imagine what would happen if I began limited junk food and snacks. The past few months I have been slacking off but I will be making more of an effort to get to they gym maybe starting this week.
As far as the gym goes - I gotta get my butt back as well, I lost all the weight I gained when I broke my foot in 2010 - about 30 lbs... having all my teeth pulled this summer broke that plateau... I am almost back to where I was when stopped working in 2008... and I went to Planet Fitness too - can't beat 10 bucks a month!!!
as far as writing, I have never been much of a writer... more of a reader =)
