The late Whitney Houston was featured in the Oscars memorial to the film greats who died this past year. The late singer is well-remembered for her role in The Bodyguard and The Preacher's Wife, which is why the Academy Awards remembered her.
The tribute to the late movie stars was beautiful with Esmeralda Spalding singing What a Wonderful World accompanying the pictures and names and jobs of those who passed this year. Whitney Houston, Liz Taylor, Bert Schneider, David Z Goodman, Petere E. Berger, Jack J. Hayes, Peter Falk, Cliff Robertson, and Steve Jobs are just a few of those who were honored in the In Memorium section of tonight's 84th Academy Awards in between the winners announcements.
The segment was touching with the angelic sounding song sung to beautiful black and white pictures of those who died this past year. In cases where they had footage and quotes to go along, they spliced that in making for a beautiful tribute to those who were taken this year.
