Looks Are Deceiving

This day we went to one of the restaurants with the Groupon deals. They are famous for their special Pumpkin Stew Soup. The dishes were presented in a visually appealing way, but the taste wasn't particularly memorable. I was busy enjoying the food and forgot to take pictures.

When it came time for dessert, there were two choices. My mom and I each picked a different one. When the desserts were delivered, we were wowed by how pretty my mom's looked. Compared to hers, my dessert looked plain and dull because it was just a piece of yellow pudding. So my mom told Kyleigh to share her dessert instead of mine.

But looks are deceiving. My mom's pretty dessert didn't taste good, at least in my opinion. Apparently Kyleigh agreed with me, because she switched to eating my dessert after the first bite of my mom's. Kyleigh ended up eating the whole pudding and I only got one bite.

While its true that we eat with our eyes, it is always interesting to me that presentation can only be part of the 'score'.
