The Oscars 2012 is Sunday night, and while everybody wants to know the winners of the Academy Awards, the red carpet is just as important. What time does the red carpet start? Who will wear what? Who will be best dressed? Worst dressed?
ABC, the channel that will air the 84th Academy Awards live, will also have a red carpet special starting at 5 p.m. as well. Shira Lazar and Jake Whetter will host the interview portion of ABC's red carpet special. Dave Karger will be on hand to welcome each celebrity.
All these questions and more will be answered starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012. MTV is offering an Oscars 2012 red carpet live stream video feed. MTV's Josh Horowitz and Christina Garibaldi will host the channel's red carpet coverage.
Then of course, E! will have its own red carpet show with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic hosting, during which they will also be measuring each star's heat on Twitter with the hashtag Eredcarpet. The channel's Oscars 2012 coverage begins at 1:30 p.m., so you can have an entire day full of award related details as you prepare to find out who the Oscars 2012 winners are.
Finally, Chris Harrison will host the 84th Academy Awards red carpet live show for TV Guide. Daisy Fuentes, Paulina Porizkova, and Tabatha Coffey will join them as they watch all the celebrity arrivals for the big night. The coverage begins at 5 p.m. with the red carpet starting at 6 p.m.
Basically, there is no shortage of coverage for the red carpet at this huge awards show. Your biggest challenge may be deciding which one to watch. The decision will be tough. Do you stick with ABC, or do you like E!'s coverage better? What will MTV do? Perhaps that is the channel to tune into. Then TV Guide is always interesting too. Maybe you should use your TV's picture in picture option so you do not have to choose just one.
