There was a black and white photo of Miriam and Mickey from 1956. It was taken on a beach by a stranger who snapped the picture of them at the couples request. The memory of that moment was placed in her wallet and kept for quite a few years. Unfortunately they went their separate ways and lost contact with other after two years of dating. The wallet was lost one day on a beach as it was left behind. She didn't cry over the twenty dollars in it, but instead the memory of them in that precious photo together. A teenage dream gone now at the age thirty five. Eventually she forgot and moved on with her life as Miriam went back to the beach where she and her first boyfriend used to go to. Mickey found that lost wallet some time ago and put the twenty dollars in a sealed envelope with her name on it, just in case they would ever meet again. He kept the old black and white photo and often cried at the memory of the good times they had together. He went to the beach where he and his first girlfriend used to go to. Thirty nine year old Mickey happened to recognize a familiar face sitting on a blanket not too far away. He took out an old lost and found wallet out of his back pocket. "Remember me"?
he asked as he held an old black and white photo in front of her face. Miriam started to cry and then stood up and hugged and kissed him once again. "By the way, here is also the twenty dollars you lost". They both laughed out loud followed by quite a few tears of joy in their eyes. An outdoor wedding was planned and the following summer it all took place on a beach they used to go to. It was very significant for the bride and groom that they have a special photo on the cover of their wedding album. A blown up high quality picture of an old 1956 photo of Miriam and Mickey taken on a beach some time ago. Lost and found items between material things and another human being. Case in point for Miriam and Mickey in a short love story about black and white memories....
