Fourteen-year-old Sarah Wade has been missing since Wednesday evening and it doesn't look like a positive ending is in sight for this young girl. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are a little hinky, and the details surrounding her life add to the mounting speculation. What happened to this little girl? Was she abducted or did she run away? Or did something entirely different happen to her?
Sarah Wade is homeschooled on a ranch in Livingston, California. Her family admits that she doesn't even know her way around the area surrounding her home. She also doesn't have many friends. This lack of socialization is detrimental to the safety of a young girl, not to mention her developmental health! Could this secluded technique of rearing a child have anything to do with how or why she disappeared? Perhaps she was naive and left with a stranger. Perhaps she was easily abducted by someone. Perhaps she simply wanted to run away and have a "normal" life away from the compound-like existence of living, learning and all-around-existing on this plot of acreage.
Sources say the 14-year-old girl had a computer with the internet—so at least she had some sort of connection to the outside world, but could this have anything to do with why or how she left?
Scent dogs were unable to trace her scent beyond her property line, meaning her tracks stopped at the road. This is indicative of someone transporting her by car, which would hinder a scent dog's ability to track her beyond that point. Could she have walked away and gotten into a vehicle willingly or in distress?
She was last seen on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. when she allegedly went outside to turn the water off which nourished their livestock. She never returned. It just seems odd that this has happened and the story doesn't appear to be very thorough. Hopefully as time goes by some more information will be revealed and police will get to the bottom of this.

Let's wait for more details in the case ;)
Thanks for commenting.
(p.s. atheists don't pray)
Breaks in paragraphs, etc etc etc.
I took one look at this and got an instant headache lol.
Sorry.
Your comment "compound-like existence" is the first example. Simply because you read that she lives on a ranch and spends most if her time at said ranch and she is unfamiliar with her surroundings. This may be California but I should not have to explain that this state in not full of metro cities and beaches. The central valley is full of small acreages that have roads between them, irrigation canals, orchards and more importantly: private property. What does this mean? It means that we don't just go joy riding or walking through other peoples property. We don't live far from town but we have to drive there. There are no sidewalks or street lights in these rural areas yet these rural areas are literaly a few minutes from town. By town I don't mean a post office and gas station, I mean department stores, restaurants, a UC (University of California), and pretty much anything a person needs.
The very next thing you write about is this so called "normal life." I would prefer a more qualitative term as normal is very subjective. What is normal? What is your definition of normal? Did you have a "normal life" at 14 and if so I wonder if it was anything like the "normal life" I think I had at 14. For example, one of the pictures of Sarah is depicting her, her friends, and her parents with Selena Gomez after a concert. I think Selena Gomez is a very mainstream artist that any "normal" 14 year old girl would be excited to see. Sarah wears "mainstream" clothes in her pictures showing that her parents allow her to dress in "normal" attire that fits her personality. Guess what- a bunch of kids living normal lives run away all the time because they think they are going to get something better or they want to be rebels or they get mad because their parents didn't buy them something.
There are so many pictures of Sarah with family and friends that this whole lack of socialization stigma you are implying in you article is just a joke. Is this because maybe her parents go with her when she goes out? She is a minor! Maybe they don't drop her off at the mall all day with people but what is wrong with that? Again she is a minor, so shouldn't she and her friends have adult supervision? Oh but maybe one of her friends has a boyfriend who is 18 and therefore an adult who can watch them when he isn't too busy breaking the law dating a minor... maybe that is an exageration but I think that this situation is what most people think a "normal" teenage life is like.
So her parents keep her on a farm. A nice farm! They board horses and give riding lessons. They open their ranch to kids who would not normally have an opportunity to experience animals and nature and good people. They expose their children to a lifestyle where you work hard and run your own business. They are living the American Dream. Work hard and do something you love and its your living. It may not be a glamorous lifestyle, but its a good way to live.
The fact that she is home schooled has nothing to do with the fact that she is missing. Maybe this fits in better with her learning needs? Not all home schooled individuals are shallow waifs who are sheltered from the outside world like they are depicted in the media. Most realistically are well adjusted well educated successful individuals. Again it really does not seem as though this young lady is too sheltered since she not only has access to the internet but is shown at Disneyland in one picture.
In closing, I am disgusted that I had to spend time writing this response to an so called objective member of the main stream media. Because any person who publishes their opinion on a public place such as this is contributing to the media and public opinion. Sadly all you have accomplished is putting doubt in people's minds about the circumstances and taken focus away from the most important thing: finding Sarah, and bringing her home safely. While her parents and family are worried sick, suffering and wondering what has happened, you are gleaning bits and pieces of this story from information published online which as of yesterday was grossly incorrect and had to be corrected even though the local news station was reluctant to do so. While Sarah's family has been working in their community and actually being good contributing members of society, you have been sitting at a computer doing who knows what and writting who knows how many articles like this with your inflated opinion oozing out of every punctuation mark.
Let us look at the facts: a child is missing, she is no less or more important than any other missing child, she needs to be found, and the focus needs to be on bringing her home. Please use your reach to spread the word to bring her home, not to use it as a vehicle to push your personal beliefs and convictions.
I will also continue to write about the child until she is found or justice is served. It's what I do.
Otherwise, don't know what to tell ya.
