A WHITE GRANDPA, GETS ARRESTED FOR WALKING HIS GRANDDAUGHTER HOME!!
...When five cop cars stop you, you usually do what they say, especially when they have their guns drawn and are threatening to shoot.
...They jerked the grandfather around to cuff him.
...The little girl quite often told the cops, "He;s my grandpa."
...One cop there told the little giel that they would not hirt her.
...Yet, the other cop that took her from her grandpa's side did so by yanking her up by the arm, off of the ground, and tossed her into the back of a cop car.
...IF I would have done that with my kid, I would have been arrested for child abuse.
...The cops, at first, refused to call the 2 phone numbers to verify that he was supposed to be with his granddaughter.
...The cops tried to get the grand daughter to admit that she was swiped, basically harassing the granddaughter.

Frightening. I think they should have apologized. With the little girl saying he was her grandpa... gee whiz, he was her grandpa.

Many years ago when my husband was riding his motorcycle home he was pulled over by the police. Evidently someone on a motorcycle just like his had committed a crime only theirs had a broken tail light. Because his wasn't broken, he was let go.

When I lived in Sarasota, FL, I was stopped once and the copsaid that I fit the general description.
I was male, but the 2 that robbed the bank, one was 5' 2" and the other was 6'4" and both were black while I was white.

SOmetimes cops pull people over just to hassle with them.

I can see it from both sides. There was a call that a white man had kidnapped a little black girl. So it is justified that he got detained. The treatment after detaining him is what is shocking.

the treatment of both after they stopped moving is the problem.
yanking the little girl by the arm is something that IF I did it to my kid, I would be arrested for child abuse.

That is scary, the kids must be protected, but the innocent should not be treated in such a manner. I'm thinking I would be suing those cops.

WHen cops act like the punks they arrest all of the time, they get way too ruff.
ANd they wonder why us citizens will not help them?
One time, I got a ticket that I deserved, but when the cop left me, he said have a nice day.
I ALMOST threw my car into reverse to ram the cop car.

you know my husband had the police question him when he and my daughter Dennise were walking around the back of the theater that he was the manager for to check to make sure there was no vandalism. They had already called in the helicopters goes to tell you that some people just jump the gun on this and other times when things should have been done no one does anything.

it was funny because out of all of the cops that could have shown up it was someone who didn't know Dennis. He went to college and or highschool with many of them so it was the workers who told them he was our daughters father LOL

Sure seems to be.

Trouble is, with so many cutbacks, the remaining cops feel overwhelmed and outnumbered, which tends to make people jumpy. That's a bad combo.

I think the man should sue, if only to draw attention to the problem.

Except when I am a witness, the cops have been very rude to me.
they make us citizens feel like the enemy.

I think the police could have been nicer in front of the little girl. That could traumatize her.

You're right in that if you had yanked a little girl around by her arm you'd be arrested for child abuse. Also, if you acted the way those cops did, you'd be in court and sentenced to "anger management" classes. What are the odds those cops won't have to go through that?

Also, IF I had attacked someone, like they did; I would also be doing at least 90 to 120 days minimum in county lockup; and probably 3 years of probation!
