NCIS: Los Angeles season 3 continues next week with episode 17, "Blye, K., Part 2," and it's going to pick up right where the first part in episode 16 left off. What's going to happen to Kensi after that gunshot?

"In a heartbeat, everything can end." That's how the voiceover for the preview out begins, and with that gunshot and Kensi going down at the end of episode 16, that's definitely true. It's also true if you think about how this episode could end.

The NCIS: Los Angeles season 3 episode 17 promo for "Blye, K., Part 2" (below) begins with that final scene from the first part. Though the team's worried about her safety, it doesn't seem they need to be at least in the immediate future. She goes off grid and they're not going to be able to find her until she decides she wants them to. She's going after the person who knows what happened to her father, and this leaves Sam and Callen wondering what will happen next. Though Sam says "Revenge is not what we do," does that mean that will stop Kensi from killing the man responsible? Even Sam seems to have doubts, though he and Callen hope he's right.

It's going to be a tough episode for everyone, especially Kensi, but there's little doubt that by the end of it, the team will be back together like they belong. But will Kensi get all she's hoping for before that happens? Will she get some form of closure at the end of the day?
