Jennifer Aniston and beau Justin Theroux are adding to their family. First, they got a house—actually a condo in New York and a mansion in L.A. Now they just adopted a dog. This new family member is a female pit bull and boxer mix, reports Hollywood Life. That should make any potential stalkers think twice.
Jennifer Aniston has one dog already—Dolly, a white shepherd. But she prefers two. Sophie the new dog is a real cutie, according to Justin. "She's the most adorable little cookie you've ever seen," he gushes. "She looks like she just smoked an exploding cigar." Ok, that description must be a guy-thing.
A puppy is a commitment, after all. "Jen treats her dogs like kids and Justin is the same. It's a real litmus test," an inside source shares. Houses are commitments, too. All signs point to Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux as a permanent team, ready to spend their lives together.
Except for the big one, of course. They have shown no signs of getting married. Maybe Jen is permanently shell-shocked. Or maybe they want to surprise everyone. Or possibly they plan to go the have-children-first route. Fans will just have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, dog ownership is a mini-glimpse of parenthood. Jennifer Aniston "loves how protective he [Justin] is of Sophie," the source goes on. "It's made her see what a great father he will make."
