On February 21, the stars came out to celebrate the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. Hugo's Chloe Moretz, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara were some of the guests at the Beverly Hilton Hotel event.
With her Lisbeth Salander character wearing instantly recognizable outfits, Rooney Mara's Dragon Tattoo costume designer Trish Summerville won the Excellence in Contemporary Film award. Rooney stayed true to her Dragon Tattoo red carpet style -- minimal, stark, clean. Courtney Justice of The Fashion Court spotted the Tanner Hall actress in a gorgeously colored J. Mendel dress. The aubergine number was quite revealing, but it also fit Rooney very well. Her clean hairstyle and plum lip color worked perfectly with her CDG Awards outfit.

Chloe Moretz, whose Hugo costume designer, the Oscar-winning Sandy Powell was nominated for Excellence in Period Film, attended the awards in Vivienne Westwood Couture. Just Jared IDed the 15-year-old's draped, metallic dress. This was one of those cases where the dress wore the woman, and not the other way around. The longer, asymmetrical hem, and fussy fit overwhelmed and aged Chloe G. Moretz.
Other CDG Awards attendees included Bridesmaids' Ellie Kemper in Giorgio Armani, and Revenge's Ashley Madekwe, Madeline Stowe, and Amber Valletta.
