Now their bitterness over the failure has boiled over into a promised court battle live on television like some pay-per-view boxing match. Is it another publicity stunt or is it a side effect of their genuine love and later feelings of betrayal? Sounds like a bad soap opera, sure, but it's no stranger than what other athletes are doing.

Unloving couples don't stay together ten years these days. The Los Angeles Lakers may have professional Kobe occupied, but nobody knew the man personally like Vanessa. That, along with their kids, presents good reasons to shelve their divorce plans.
