They may steal the votes, they may steal the election, but they will NO LONGER steal the hearts and minds after 2012!  I SMELL Liberty!  People are finally thinking for themselves and are seeing the corruption, inside their own party!

This is just a drop in the bucket but THIS state, Maine, was called to task.  Nevada and South Carolina had strange results when they actually tracked the votes and put it on a chart.  It appeared that votes for Ron Paul were flipped and given to 'anyone but Paul'.

These shenanigans, proven in Maine, has turned off MANY GOP supporters.  Perhaps it IS time for a third party OR, since Dr. Paul is getting the delegates, a brokered convention will just do the trick!

If the Republicans will to it to themselves, they will even more eagerly do it to the Democrats. (And for some reason, I have the feeling the Democrats will do it as well.) What makes anyone think that government, the law, the constitution, or any other part of our society will protect us from the big money interests? The only real solution is to change the nature of our money so it cannot be used in this way.

As good as a Convention sounds I don't get my hopes up for it... the GOP is not going to let their guy loose. The people have to force them by overwhelmingly voting otherwise.

Still, it looks like there was a lot of mischief up in Maine, funny how that happens in all the states Paul is expected to do well (Iowa, NV, ME). They really don't want him to win.

What is interesting, Char, is I've learned the GOP controls their caucuses therefore believe they can change the rules at will. This also means they control the delegates, not the voters, because winning a caucus does not mean they automatically get the delegates, as assigned - it's a separate process, so Ron Paul supporters stay after the voting is done and become delegates. In PA, we have election of delegates on the ballot but in a caucus state, the delegates do not have to vote for the 'winner'.
This is NO way to run any voting process. Now, the delegates still must go to a county and state convention, and be appointed there, but what happens, they determine who the delegates support, and then add other names to their list and appoint them. Crooked from the beginning to the end! And, WE THOUGHT WE HAD INPUT? *sigh

Yes, they rig it so the Party gets who the Party wants. Even when the delegates are bound, they are released after the first ballot if nobody wins on the first try. That's when the horse trading would really start. This one sure looks like it could go there!

Horse trading is actually intimidation as was reported by Ron Paul delegates at the National Convention in 2008.
So, we can argue here for our candidate but the powerful GOP will STILL get their choice. Heard they are recruiting Jeb Bush - :( and Sarah Palin - :(

good proof also, that you can never trust a caucus - not sure why they have them, since it is not a true vote but stil;l - then it also shows you can not trust the media who touted the false win.

guess they spend millions just for the sake of saying they 'won' something people voted on yet not all the votes counted. People will listen to the news and not know any different, that is why the called the winner, was ALL over the national news without anyone questioning.
This change may never make the national news because it's Ron Paul. Iowa made the news because it was for another neocon, Santorum...

Oh, it's making the news, Linda. I thought I smelled a carp on Saturday, and I KNEW the caucus format was inherently fraught with temptation for the cheaters of the world. Still, sure was entertaining.

Whatever happens, Ron Paul will play a huge part in the 2012 decision. Big influence in the GOP has a better chance than a Third Party.

The idea that we are a free nation is false. The idea that we are better than third world nations is false.

I once told a Mexican I was working with that the difference between Mexico and the U.S. is that the Mexican government did not care about the laws, where in Amerika, we changed the laws to support corruption in government. That is no longer true. Our government, and the "process" in which we choose our elected officials is like Mexico. Who cares about the laws, THIS is what we want.

When the ballots fail what choices are we left to?
I'd like to say it's incredible but, unfortunately, it's not. I just can't think about it for too long.

Well nothing says Ron Paul WON Maine but it does imply Romney didn't necessarly win either.
Each of those 24 deligates will get their marching orders from the local party no matter who "wins" in the caucus anyway.
