The first preview gives fans a glimpse of a scene that takes place in the bar. Three men come looking for the two men Rick shot and claim they aren't looking for trouble. One man knocks on the door and pleads to come in saying, "This place is crawling with corpses. If you could help us not get killed, I'd appreciate it!"
The next preview reveals that Rick will eventually let them in, but things go wrong and the two sides square off in a gun battle.
The second preview was released in Italian, but English subtitles have been added. The scene takes place at Hershel's farm and the group is trying to decide what they are going to do with a hostage Rick, Glenn, and Hershel brought home from the gunfight at the bar.
The man has an injured leg and despite Hershel's best efforts, he won't be able to walk for a week. Shane worries that the man will be able to find his way back to the farm, putting them in danger of retaliation for the men shot in the bar.
Others worry that the man won't be able to survive on his own. Rick tells the others that the man will at least have a fighting chance, something he wouldn't have had if they left him alone at the bar.
What do you think of these previews? Some fans have been complaining that season two lacks the excitement of the first season. Producers have promised things will pick up and the plot will progress more quickly in the second half of the season, but are they delivering? The group is still at the farm, they are fighting over the same things and the plot doesn't seem to be escalating much. Bring on the zombies, please! Well, the show still has several episodes left in the season, so here's hoping things get exciting soon!
Tune in Sunday night to AMC to see The Walking Dead season 2, episode 9 "Triggerfinger."
