The Constitution Party is apparently annnouced the candidacy of its nominee for President as Virgil Goode from Virginia. Virgil Goodee is a representive from the state of Virginia, and his wife is the treasurer of his campaign.
Can you imagine a Constitution Party? Is that what Virgil Goode wants? A Constitutional government. My who has ever heard of such a thing. I want to wish the Constitution Party candidate good luck, but as he doesn't have even a website up yet, his success is in doubt, but he has heart and a Goode has a good plan. So good luck!
God knows we need a third party, but is the Constitution Party the third party we hoped for?

The Republican Party hates the courts. They accuse the Court of making laws. The fact is that our court system is dependent upon a body of case law which goes back to William the Conqueror. It has been making law for nearly 1000 years.
The Republicans want a court system which will do what they are told to do. Republicans don't seem to understand that the Constitution states that Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life. That is so they will be free from political and public pressure, including pressure from Republican presidential candidates.
Republicans know all about the 10th amendment. They never read it, but they know all about it. Ask them about the 9th amendment and they scratch their heads.
