Revenge episode 15 "Chaos" begins with a gunshot ringing out and Daniel falling to the sand as fireworks go off.
24 Hours Earlier
Emily doesn't think Amanda took her box, though Nolan suggests it. When she calls the person who did, it turns out to be Tyler, and he warns her against cancelling the party. After all, he has Amanda.
Emily finds Daniel waiting up at home, and he's been ignoring Grandpa Grayson's calls. She convinces him to at least talk to him, and he wants her to promise they won't have secrets after what they've done to his family.
Amanda tries to defend Emily to Tyler, but he tells her she framed her, shows her Jack's texts, and Emily's box. Charlotte's not doing well after finding out who her real father is, and though she takes Jack's Oxycodone pills out of the cabinet, she's receptive to going to a therapist. As they're preparing for the party, Victoria turns to Emily for help fixing things with Daniel. Emily receives a call from Tyler, who asks for a ransom check in exchange for the box and Amanda.
Grandpa tells Daniel he has a meeting with Takeda that afternoon to convince him to keep his money where it is. Speaking of Grandpa, he convinces Charlotte not to go to the therapist by mentioning that Declan failed his entrance exam, but he can call the school for him. Uh-oh. Charlotte's not exactly stable right now. When Emily meets Tyler, she secures him to the fence and finds her box in the trunk, but she wasn't counting on Amanda turning on her. Tyler tells her to have fun at the party before they drive away.
Jack tells Emily and Nolan he's leaving town, which he should've done sooner. He's leaving Sammy with Emily. Now that's perfect. Nolan tells Emily she should go with him, but she can't. She does need him to make sure Jack leaves safely. Emily finds out from Daniel that Takeda's coming to the party, and his meeting doesn't go like Grandpa had wanted. Daniel tells him he can't convince him to stay with Grayson Global and he's planning to run away with Emily. Takeda ignores Emily's call. Tyler's plan is to make it look like Emily killed Daniel since she framed him for Frank's murder.
The Fire & Ice Ball
Victoria tells Conrad she agrees to his terms and signs the divorce papers. However, she also takes out a security business card after he leaves the study. As Emily's getting ready, she straps a gun to her thigh.
Amanda takes half a picture and another form before trying to leave, but Tyler's not ready to let her skip the party. She does manage to run, and he shoots after her. At the party, Victoria pulls Daniel aside to try to explain, but he tells her he's leaving with Emily for Paris to leave it all behind. Victoria doesn't think she will just leave behind the Grayson name and thinks Emily's just like her.
Nolan was smart and planted his camera on Jack's boat, and he watches as he loads up. Takeda brings Emily a gift—her box—and tells her to bury it. She goes to do just that, and Daniel notices. Amanda finds Jack as he's about to leave and asks him to take her with him. He pulls her to him. Daniel finds Emily on the beach just after she's buried her box and tells her his plans. When she asks if Victoria said something, he says she was right before walking away. Uh-oh.
Jack tells Amanda that Emily told him not to give up on her and he hopes one day she'll get to know her better. He gives her money to pay for her cab, and she tells him she loves him and kisses him—it looks like a goodbye—before heading back up the dock. When he looks at his hand, there's blood on it. Amanda drives off in the cab. It was goodbye.
Nolan hands over his tablet to his security. Here's the scene from the pilot, and after Emily tells Nolan he shouldn't be there and walks away, he tells her Jack's gone. Tyler approaches Daniel on the beach holding his gun.
Who Dies on Revenge?
Tyler shows Daniel the photo with Xs next to Tom Kingsly, Michelle Banks, Frank Stevens, and Mason Treadwell's names and tells him he found it under Emily's floorboards. He says she's playing everyone. He leads Daniel down to the shore at gunpoint.
Emily takes note of Charlotte's bottle of pills, but Charlotte quickly escapes when Victoria joins them. Victoria thinks Emily talked sense into Daniel since they're not on a plane. Emily receives a text from Daniel to join him on the beach to talk. Jack follows Amanda to the beach and finds her over a body. He sends her back to his truck and drags the person away as Charlotte and Declan strip to head into the ocean.
Victoria begins her speech, and while Takeda and Emily exchange nods, so do Takeda and Nolan. When Emily calls Daniel's phone, the ring catches Declan and Charlotte's attention, and they see Jack over his body. He runs. Charlotte interrupts the party screaming. Amanda hitches a ride—from Takeda. When Victoria turns the body over, it's not Daniel. It's Tyler. Daniel walks over, blood on his jacket. Victoria tells him not to say a word.
