Michelle Obama has been wearing Jason Wu since she first stepped into the White House when she wore his gown to the inaugural ball. With that said, a more recent choice made by the cutting-edge designer came from a less costly collection: His recent offering only found at Target.
You know, those precious pieces of clothing that flew off the shelves when the lot was first presented at the budget-minded chain on Saturday, February 5 and which can now can only be found on eBay for scathing prices?
Most likely Michelle Obama neither did not have need to get to a Target store that special morning to fight for the right to own her Wu, nor did she likely have to go to the auction site for her frock—originally priced at $39.99—because, well, she probably has connections directly to the person who came up with the stylish dress in the first place. But still, it's nice to see that the First Lady can not only look good in off-the-rack, but also in a budget-priced piece as she did for the Florida press event for which she wore this stunner.
Indeed, the sleeveless (of course) floral, knee-length number (see it here), which was coupled with a blue cardigan and accented by a red belt and blue pumps, was a smash as she stepped off Air Force One at Orlando International Airport.
So with all that in mind, what do you think? Do you like Michelle Obama in her Jason Wu for Target dress? Does she get an A plus for not spending a bunch of money to look this way, or should she have plunked down a few more bucks for a more upscale fashion statement? Thoughts?
