Adam Lambert's video for his new single "Better Then I Know Myself" went on sale on iTunes late last night and within less than 24 hours secured the #2 spot for "Top Music Videos." Adam premiered the video on February 3 and since then fans had been anxiously waiting for it to be available to purchase. Now that it is for sale, people have bought it for themselves and are gifting it to others to raise it to the top of the iTunes video chart. Adam's video has even passed those by Adele and Whitney Houston, despite last weekend's events. However, it is unclear why LMFAO beat out Adam for the iTunes top video today, since their videos have been out for some time.
This evening Adam re-tweeted a fan photo of the iTunes top video chart with the message that it was #1 in USA, however, that chart looks like it might actually come from iTunes Canada. (For example, it shows Canadian band Marianas Trench at #6 and they are not even in the top 50 on the US iTunes chart.) Adam must have figured it out because he later tweeted, "I love Canada! :)" Even so, #2 in the US is not too shabby!
Adam Lambert has impressed many people with the "Better Than I Know Myself" video, which has more than 2.7 million views on VEVO already. It is also very popular on the VH1 website, now in the #2 position for "Today's Most Popular Music." He was #1 in the ranking in this VH1 category for a while, but now he follows Train. Even on VH1, Adam's video is more popular than both Adele and Whitney Houston.
Do you have the "Better Then I Know Myself" video yet? If not, you can buy it at iTunes.

They do however follow U.S. charts very closely. Maybe they are waiting to see how well it does south of the border.
