Whitney Houston's funeral will be held on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, in the church that she once attended. Without a public service, many people are beginning to wonder who will be attending the funeral, as there are only 1,500 seats inside the New Hope Baptist Church.
Pastor Joe Carter c
alled the funeral a "small ... invite-only service." He added, "all these empty pews to be filled with people whose hearts are broken." While it is clear that Houston's family will be in attendance, there are hundreds of celebrities and colleagues who will also want to go and pay their respects, though they will not all be invited.
Marvin Winans will be delivering the eulogy and is thus far the only confirmed funeral guest (outside of family). Fans expect Clive Davis and Tyler Perry to attend, both of whom were close to the late singer. It is also suspected that Ray J and his sister, Brandy Norwood, will be invited to attend, but that has not been confirmed at this time.
