Virgil Flowers, responding to a 911 call and yelled back at his deputy, Puce, "Don’t let those gull durn aardvarks out."

The call was from one of the girls at the ‘Chicken Farm’, which caused reason for Virgil’s distress. Those girls needed protection and he was in a hurry to give it to them.

But, alas, he was helpless. His gun wouldn’t penetrate the armor of the armadillos that were eating chicken legs.

I lke it, Pam. Although I'm more used to Virgil Flowers being a character in my Lucas Davenport novels. He is a police officer though.

I don't think this is the same Virgil Flowers, Lucas Davenport is the Chief of Detectives for Minneappolis because his boss is taking a move to a state job and taking Lucas with her he has been getting his top guys to apply for state jobs and be ready for him to be there. Now is the time for Rosemary to make her move and he and Virgil are planning a coupt.

We were on our way to a job, building a house. My Dad pulled off the road and asked me if I knew what that was. from the major hwy, it did. B look like a bunch of chicken coops But no chickens to be seen.

Everyone in town loved the character Dolly played..She paid her taxes on her little businessl .She and the ''sherrif were lovers, naturally she saved herself for Bert, Marvin Zindller tried to close down the Chicken ranch, in reall life he was a good man, I enjoyed watching him every night.
This was after his closing down "THE BEST LITTLE WHORE HOUSE IN TEXAS"

Okay, I got it now. The Chicken Ranch Brothel was the one the movie"BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS" and the Broadway musical by the same name were based on. I see where the madam just died last week (2/25) without ever writing a book on it-she was waiting for all the people who had been a part of it to pass on before writing about it.
