Miley Cyrus is obviously no stranger to revealing and provocative fashion statements and photos, often posted to her Twitter account or glimpsed in public through the lens of the paparazzi. Fans and non-fans alike have perhaps seen more than their fair share with her bra-less exits and skimpy, controversial snapshots. But, over the weekend, she exposed a new, yet far more tame trend to her followers on the popular social media network.
"Got ANOTHER hair cut!" the entertainer tweeted, alongside a photo of her updated 'do. "You likey?!" The new cut is even shorter than the chop she got a few weeks ago, taking her locks from medium shoulder length to a face-framing long bob. It is a departure for the singer-actress who has been known for her long, teeny-bopper-approved hair during her Disney days as Hannah Montana, not to mention her fair share of super-long extensions, which she has formerly rocked on the red carpet and at other public appearances.
Nevertheless, the perky bob is definitely a fresh direction for Miley Cyrus. The look channels a slightly girl-next-door vibe, far different from Cyrus' often punk and funky twist, and it certainly seems a bit more polished and professional than some of her longer, shaggier styles. But her fans may not have agreed that short is sweeter for Cyrus, as Cambio reports. The star later sent out another Twitter message in her hair's defense, saying, "All y'all are saying its soooo short! Only cut about an inch and a half off tonight! In total about 5 inches!!! I love it! So liberating!"
Indeed, Miley Cyrus is right. Many girls, even those diehard lovers of long hair, would have to agree that there's nothing like chopping off even a few inches to experience that lightweight, freeing feeling that comes with a mane makeover. Wonder what her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, thinks of her cute new 'do that comes just in time for Valentine's Day?!
