Cheese Grater

I had a cheese grater that was just one that I had gotten free with something that I had ordered.  It was hard to work and you did get your exercise grating your cheese.  Well, it broke.

I have learned that it is cheaper and healthier to buy the cheese blocks and grate the cheese yourselves but I need a new cheese grater.

Do any of you have any suggestions of any that you use and love.

Do you a Meijer store in your area?

I got one with a half ball on the top which makes it easier to use.

No, we do not have a Meijer close by. I have not seen one with a half ball on top. I will keep my eyes open.

mine always rust so I use a cheese slicer.

I use a grater that is just a square with a bunch of holes with a handle. I got it at a rummage sale for 50 cents. I love it.

I will. I just used one with a handle and a flat grate and don't like it either.

I found one at a yard sale last summer, It has a handle and long and thin. It works Great.
I paid less than a dollar for it. Also I have seen them at the Dollar store before.

I usually buy grated cheese, when I buy it in a block I just cut chunks.
We never buy pre-grated cheese. As a matter of fact, grating cheese is my job at our house. ;)

mmmmmmm blush.......... got to admit I buy my cheese grated as its a nice low fat cheese and its a mix of different cheeses as well.

don't blush! I used to buy it also but I kept reading it was cheaper to buy block and shred and have read lately that it is healthier because we don't eat as much. Do you know what you don't eat as much? Because you get tired of cranking the handle! LOL
