When legendary pop icon Whitney Houston died just one day before the 54th annual Grammy Awards, producers could not ignore such a tragic loss to the music industry. In a last minute scramble to honor Whitney Houston at the 2012 Grammy Awards, American Idol alumni and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson was recruited to pay tribute to the fallen superstar.
The Jennifer Hudson tribute to Whitney Houston was truly beautiful, although terribly hard to listen to. Not because Jennifer Hudson didn’t do justice to “I Will Always Love You,†but because it was obviously as much of a torture for her to sing it as it was for the audience to hear.
