Justin Bieber is planning on taking the 2013 Grammy Awards by storm. The Never Say Never and Baby singer was noticeably absent from the 2012 Grammy Awards on Sunday evening.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the Biebs and girlfriend Selena Gomez were spotted in New York City having lunch at Hooter's on Sunday, so it looked pretty doubtful that they'd be able to hop a flight to L.A. in time for the awards show.
Justin was nominated in one category this year for a song from his film Never Say Never. Born to Be Somebody received a Grammy nod in the 'Best Song for Visual Media' category. Sadly, he lost out to a song from the animated film Tangled.
It was likely far more disappointing to fans that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez weren't spotted on the 2012 Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday than the fact that he didn't win a Grammy. Last year, photos of the adorable couple spread like wildfire across the internet following their first foray into the Grammy Awards as an official couple.
So are you wondering at all what Justin tweeted following the Grammy Awards on Sunday? It's a sure indication that next year he won't be with Selena at Hooter's on the afternoon of the show.
"congrats to all the winners tonight. glad to see friends of mine doing there thing. Next year we are coming with <s>#</s>BELIEVE," he tweeted.
Sounds like Justin expects his new album Believe, for which he's been recording diligently these past few weeks, to be a definite Grammy contender. And given his dedication to creating something new and exciting, along with the top-tier talent he's brought on board to record with him—Drake, Timbaland, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber—he's probably going to be right on target with his assumption.
"and one more thing... I was born to be somebody..aint nothing that's ever gonna stop me! <s>#</s>BELIEVE," Justin added shortly thereafter, clearly indicating his acknowledgment of his 2012 Grammy defeat.
Do you expect fans will see Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez at the 2013 Grammy Awards? Are you eagerly anticipating the release of Believe?
