Foo Fighters perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles during the Grammys, after having emerged as the pre-award show's big winners, taking home four of the six Grammys they had been nominated for.
One of the four Grammys the Foo won at the pre-awards telecast was for Best Rock Album for their newest release, Wasting Light. They are also up for Album of the Year for the same title, an album that Dave Grohl refers to as the "human element of his music."
"This is a very great honour because this album was the most fun we've ever had making a record," said Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. "I asked my wife if it was OK to use my garage."
The other three Grammys that they were awarded prior to the live telecast Sunday evening were for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for "White Limo," Best Rock Song for "Walk," and Best Long Form Music Video for "Back and Forth."
What did you think of the Foo Fighters Grammy performance? Did you feel like they were energized from their win? Do you think they're likely to take Album of the Year for Wasting Light?
