NCIS is bringing in Jamie Lee Curtis and reuniting her with her Freaky Friday co-star Mark Harmon in episode 16, "Psych Out," and the press release is now out, revealing a returning character.

"When a high-level security Navy reservist is found dead, Gibbs goes face-to-face with Dr. Samantha Ryan of the PsyOps Division to uncover the truth behind the potential suicide. Meanwhile, DiNozzo argues with accounting after seeing McGee's paycheck."
Sparks are going to be flying between Gibbs and Dr. Ryan (Curtis), and you would expect nothing less considering they obviously have chemistry together as seen in Freaky Friday. It's no secret that the NCIS team doesn't exactly like working with other teams, but it does sound like they may need Ryan's team, who are psychological operations investigators. While Gibbs and his team can pretty much solve any murder, it seems like this PsyOps team may have the insight needed to crack this case. Who knows, it could end up being a race to solve the case first, and it'll be interesting to see if Gibbs or Ryan backs down.
Meanwhile, the Tony-McGee part of the synopsis sounds like it could mean some laughs. Will Tony discover that McGee's making more than him even though Tony is the Senior Field Agent of the team? He has been on Gibbs' team the longest—and has lasted the longest out of anyone else, so you could see why that would lead to him getting into it with accounting. Among the guest stars according to the press release is a very interesting name: Wendy Makkena is apparently returning as Dr. Rachel Cranston. Kate's sister did show up in the season 9 premiere to help Tony try to remember what happened that ended with him in the hospital, and it's been nice to see her turn up since it was revealed she's Kate's sister. "Life Before His Eyes" showed that Tony and Kate would've been married—and with a baby!—if she hadn't been killed on that roof, and while it is so strange to imagine that, it's still good to have that bit of a connection with Rachel returning.
