Drinking soda for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up is so last year. There's no need to gulp down caffeine when you can inhale it. AeroShot has created a caffeine inhaler that holds 100 milligrams of lemon-lime flavored caffeine powder portioned into six puffs.
The Benefits of Inhaling Caffeine
Step aside energy drinks and fancy coffee concoctions, caffeine powder has fewer calories and costs around $3.00 for 100 milligrams of caffeine. The convenient tube is great for tired folks on the go or club hoppers wanting to dance until dawn.
Encouraging Caffeine Abuse
As tempting as this new product from AeroShot sounds, it's obviously going to make it easier for people to form a caffeine addiction. Abuse, anxiety, heart palpitations, nausea and even overdosing are possible from excessive caffeine consumption, according to Dr. Robert Glatter, an emergency medicine physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City who was quoted on CBS NEWS.
Since caffeine isn't regulated like alcohol, cigarettes or illegal drugs, children can legally take puffs from caffeine inhalers. Should pure forms of caffeine be regulated with an age restriction or prescription? Please share thoughts in the comments below!

Do I sound crazy? Well my alternative to coffee is a steroid inhaler. When I have had to be on steroids they raise blood sugar levels.
I think people should use this wisely, and quite frankly I would prefer a nice cup of coffee... but in some situations it could be a good thing for people like me. Caffeine does help open up your airways.
