'Supernatural' season 7 episode 14 'Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magical Menagerie' preview: Sam Winchester versus clowns

Supernatural continues this week with season 7 episode 14, "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie," as Sam and Dean investigate a Chuck E. Cheese's-like place. The newest preview clip is all about Sam's clown fear.

Childhood fears are coming to life at Plucky's, and it's going to be up to Sam and Dean to take care of the problem. However, this latest job is going to mean that Sam has to face clowns again. After facing Lucifer and his cage in hell, you would think this would be easy. Well, it's not going to be.

In addition to the promo (here) and sneak peek (here), there's also a new Supernatural season 7 episode 14 preview of "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie" (below) out which talks all about Sam and his clown fear. The preview begins with Dean having a bit of a laugh over the phone about Sam's fear of clowns, which the younger Winchester brother can't deny, no matter how much he tries to. Sam hasn't gotten over it, and it seems like he has a point about his fear in some situations. After all, remember in "Everybody Loves a Clown," he said, "apparently clowns kill," and here he is again, in yet another crazy situation with a creepy clown. Still, it is funny.

Executive producer Robert Singer explains that Plucky's is "a pizza emporium for children with bad pizza and lots of games, and in our case, because it's Supernatural, some mysterious deaths. A place of absolute innocence and joy, and we turn it on its head and make it kind of a scary, dangerous place to be." What else would you expect from this show but to take a nice place for children and figure out a way to use it to scare someone?

Poor Sam is going to be walking into Plucky's only to find clowns everywhere. He's even going to come face-to-face with a couple. He punches and kicks them and even takes out his gun and shoots at one of them. Will that work, or will he just have to wait for Dean to figure out a way to stop the man bringing these fears to life?
