Yes! Don't oversimplifiy it, don't put words in Obama's mouth that never were there. Obama never said that America is not a special place; and he never apologized for the American role on the world stage. He is just cool and realistic about the limits of American power, as he is cool and realistic on everything else.
Do you still feel that the USA is the sole superpower on our planet? Militarily, no other nation can rival us currently, but economically, we are merely first among equals. Â The Obama viewpoint on multilateralism in foreign affairs resulted in the elimination of Muammar Gadhafi, and has politically isolated Iran, without catastrophic financial or military fallout and without enraging any allies. Â What would you prefer, that we had tried to do those things militarily on our own?
In reality, Romney would do well to imitate Obama's skill with diplomacy, should he ever make it into the White House.

it never happened.
how many Americans think that "Obama has said that the USA is over as a world power"
it also never happened.
Romney obviously is just pumping up his chest to seem manly for the tea party crowd. The whole blowhard thing didn't work too well for Bush and it won't work for someone like Romney (unless he picks Dick Cheney as his running mate).
Wait until he debates Obama. Romney will be picking his pants off his knees.
Which, of course, is exactly what the tea party bigots have worked so hard to keep from happening. They can't stand to see President Obama be successful so they are willing to throw the US under the bus and aid and abet China to surpass the US. The tea party has held Americans hostage to protect the rich and to give China a head start on the kinds of energy technologies that will rule the world.
So while Obama has been helping America move forward, the tea party has held us back.
Romney says lots of things that aren't true. I wish more people would call him on it.
