Well, it's that time of year again. Time to do the State, Federal and Local taxes. I usually put it off until the last minute, but I did get started yesterday. Taxes are such a pain. It really makes me mad that I have to pay double here in my community because I own a small business. The larger companies around here don't have to pay the one tax that is for businesses here. They are exempt from it. I'd like to know who made that one up. I ask every year at the tax office and no one knows. Wonder who is pocketing that one.

There is no way we could ever do our own taxes, as they're entirely too complicated, and we always end up filing long form. We've got a great tax gal, and neighbor, at H&R Block, and she always does them for us.
We're worried this year....stupid SS never took out any taxes from hubby's monthly SS checks (for six months).....even after I told them to take out 25% FOUR times......DUH!!!!!! I'm still hoping that, somehow, we will still get a refund, as we have lots of deductions and medical expenses.
Tax time is sure no fun! We have our appointment on the 18th of this month!
Small business here, too--they really soak us, don't they? :o(
