Mitt Romney wins Nevada caucus. Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich tie for second place while Rick Santorum makes a good showing but comes in third. Mitt Romney got the Mormon and conservative votes.
Ron Paul was helped out by Libertarians and in an interesting twist, prostitutes who believe in his message of free will, gathered to help Ron Paul with some needed donations.
Rick Santorum sounded more like a winner than a loser in his speeches, and he plans on continuing his campaign. So Nevada seems a bit of non-issue as not much has changed, but for those interested in the economic effects of the campaign, one might want to take a look at Nevada which is hard hit by the economic down turn.
I thought it was interesting to note that 70% of homeowners are in trouble and in danger of foreclosure in that state. Please note that in my state of Oklahoma which is heavily Republican, we have a 5% unemployment rate, and my town is booming with a housing shortage.
