My review of Julie & Julia movie

I read the book and was struck by the differences in the book and the movie. I liked the book but the movie was so much better. In the book it was pretty much only about Julie and her blog and cooking. In the movie it was half that and half about the life of Julia Child. It gave such a more in depth look into Julia Childs life. Meryl Streep did an amazing job of playing the character of Julia child. Amy Adams did a really cute version of Julie. She isnt the way I pictured the real Julie to be though. She seemed so very calm and sweet compared to the way Julie portrayed herself in her book.

The book was good but the movie is way better. I think the way I did it was the best in this case reading the book first and then watching the movie. If Id read the movie first the book might have been a little boring.

I really liked it a lot to. I could watch it again for sure. I cant say that about all movies.

I didn't read the book, but I loved the movie... I loved watching Julia Child cook as I was growing up... and I loved seeing the parts about her life in the movie.

It was really great. I didnt know much about Julia child but the movie taught me more about her then the book did. I think I will see sometime if they have any of the old julia child clips on youtube to watch.

I have never seen the movie, but I do remember seeing her cooking show years ago. I would say she was an innovator in her field.
