Taylor Armstrong is set to release her new tell-all book, Hiding From Reality, on Tuesday, and she's already feeling a lot of heat. Apparently, her late husband's family isn't too happy about the things that she says in her book and Russell's sister, Laurie, is speaking out.
"Taylor never reached out to my family about writing a book. She's a gold digger; that's why she wrote the book. I don't think Taylor took into consideration what [effect] a book like this would have on Russell's children," Laurie Kelsoe told Hollywood Life.
Naturally a lot of people feel as though Taylor should not have come out with this book, at least not so soon after Russell's suicide. However, to say that she shouldn't have written it because of his children... well she's on a television show and someday the kids are going to watch and learn what happened anyway, so does this book really make a difference? If Taylor Armstrong isn't lying about anything, there is no reason why she shouldn't tell her story. It's actually very therapeutic to write and release what you've been keeping secret. It may be part of the healing process for Taylor, and that's really important.
"If my brother was abusing Taylor, she should have come to us. I was Russell's best friend. If she would have come to me, I would have talked to Russell about it; my brother respected me. I know I could have helped him," Kelsoe added.
There is a lot to say about telling an abused woman to talk about her problems with family members. Taylor was obviously frightened of what Russell would do if she told anyone about their fights and the abuse. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place—something any physically abused person will tell you. It's not as simple as people make it out to be and only Taylor and Russell knew what went on behind closed doors.

Her book is indeed an insult to Russell Armstrong's entire family. She is broke & needs the money-hands down, that's my opinion anyway.
I don't doubt there was abuse-but I believe it came from both ends.
She needs to get the Bravo boot, fix her life and stay off of reality tv. If she's on again, I will not tune in. She's emotionally very unstable, pathologically lies all the time and the wailing/screaming/crying drunken behaviors were awful. Totally ruined a once fun show!
