One Tree Hill season 9 is currently airing on the CW, and now, the press release for the complete season DVD is out, revealing its release date and the titles of the rest of the episodes, including the series finale.
OTH season 9 DVD release date
The press release for the season 9 DVD is out, and it has revealed that fans will be able to buy it on April 10 to complete their collection of the entire season. The creator and executive producer Mark Schwahn has said, "We're excited to be able to share the final season and never-before-seen bonus material with our incredibly loyal fans. Knowing this was to be our last year, we made sure to document it, which made for some excellent behind-the-scenes footage that we've included here, along with our last, explosive, emotional season of One Tree Hill." Like most television DVDs that are coming out now, included in the set will be an UltraViolet Digital Copy, meaning if you have a compatible device, you can download it to stream on computers and other devices. The press release also includes a list of the special features, which includes An Evening With One Tree Hill, The Story of One Tree Hill, The Music of One Tree Hill, Crew Cameras with Sophia, Full-Length Audio Commentary on the first episode by Schwahn and some of the cast, deleted scenes, and a gag reel. Essentially, it sounds like a set that OTH fans should be excited (and a bit sad, since it is the last one) to add to their collections.
OTH season 9 episode titles
Also revealed in the press release are the episode titles for the rest of the season. The official descriptions are already out through episode 6, but now episodes 7-13 have titles as well: "Last Known Surroundings" (Chad Michael Murray's return), "A Rush of Blood to the Head," "Every Breath Is a Bomb," "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will," "Danny Boy," "Anyone Who Had A Heart," and "One Tree Hill" (fitting for the series finale). Those are some dark titles, but it is a dark final season. Nathan's missing, Dan's back, Clay has his own slew of problems, and even Brooke and Julian are going to be going through problems of their own. That's not to mention everything shown in that look into the future that opened up the season and showed everyone facing some trouble. Chris Keller had teamed up with Dan, who had a gun. Chase was arrested. Quinn and Clay were fighting (and that's coming up in episode 4, "Don't You Want to Share the Guilt?"). Brooke took her anger and frustrations out, while Julian got beat up. Finally, Haley had to ID a body on a table in the morgue. That opening just proved how dark the season is going to be, and what else would you expect but dark titles to go along with that? That all leads up to the series finale title, which could not have been chosen better.
Will you be picking up the One Tree Hill season 9 DVD set? What do you think of the rest of the episode titles?
