The Demi Moore Lovelace replacement seems to be getting caught up in a little game of word play. While many are reporting Sarah Jessica Parker will replace Moore's character, other are claiming Weeds star Mary Louise Parker is.
Lovelace stars Amanda Seyfried as '70s porn superstar Linda Lovelace, while Moore was supposed to play a small part as Gloria Steinem.
According to Us Magazine, Demi Moore's replacement will be Mary Louise Parker of Weeds. Parker is a fantastic actress and would have been great for the part of Steinem.
However, CNN is reporting that the Demi Moore Lovelace replacement will be Sarah Jessica Parker. The Sex and the City star will be taking Moore's role in the film, which is being directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. Hard to imagine Carrie Bradshaw as Steinem, but that is the beauty of acting.
Although Demi Moore is recovering from her hospitalization that has been unfortunately over publicized, it would have been great to see her on the big screen. Since the media appears to be more concerned with Moore's private life than the real reason she is famous, fans should probably wait until the movie is in theaters to find out the truth.
Although things are looking good for SJP, who would you think would play a better Gloria Steinem? As a feminist icon for many women this truly is a role of a lifetime!
