Duct tape fixes everything -- even unruly children. At least that's what 20-year-old Alicia Lyons must have believed when she used the popular utility tape to secure a child to the floor.
The Kentucky daycare worker just helped prove the point that parents truly can't trust strangers with their children. It seems to be a growing trend lately of children being harmed or abused in daycare and public schools. Alicia Lyons, who looks like a fried-out version of Miley Cyrus, used duct tape on a young child to secure him to his floor mat during nap time. It's alleged that she had an accomplice to helped her, which makes this case even more disturbing. It's bad enough to know that one idiot is doing this in a childcare environment, but two?!
Mustard Seeds Child Care in Ludlow, Kentucky sounds a lot like Auschwitz for babies, but at least they fired the 20-year-old child abuser. This kid was only 18 months old; that's under the age of two years old! She used duct tape, with an accomplice, to restrain an infant and tape him to a floor mat. That's blatant abuse and it's good that she's being charged with first degree criminal abuse. Being fired simply isn't good enough. And what of the accomplice?
