Former UP Maroons Volleyball player Maan Panganiban died from Lymphoma cancer at the incredibly young age of 25. The Shakey's V-League court side reporter's full name was Mary Ann Grace Natividad Panganiban. Before she became ill with cancer, she worked at TV5 after graduating from UP Diliman in 2009 with a BA in Public Administration.
The reporter passed away during an emergency operation, and the world is incredibly saddened to hear that Maan Panganiban died and lost her fight with cancer. Condolences for the star's family and friends have poured in on the world's social networks.
One fan tweeted, "Rest in peace, Maan Panganiban. You're easily the best courtside reporter ever. Enjoy Heaven. Nothing beats the view of the action there :)" The reporter was obviously well-known and well-loved because many tweets celebrated her life over the past 24 hours.
Panganiban's body will lie in state at the El Capitan Memorial Chapel in Marikina City starting Tuesday. So far, funeral and burial details have not been finalized. It is incredibly difficult when someone so young passes, and the fact that she suffered from such a difficult cancer must have been incredibly painful in the months leading up to her death.
This lovely young woman was certainly taken from the world too soon at just 25. She had many friends and fans, and she will long be remembered for her passion for the game as well as for her skills as a court side reporter. May she rest in peace.
