Without The Moon - A Rondel Prime for Mindful Poetry
I couldn’t resist writing another Rondel Prime, this time about my favourite celestial companion, the Moon.
The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon
The dark night’s happy face
Watching lovers croon
Would still lovers’ shy embrace
Turn into a dizzy swoon?
The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon
Love perhaps would end too soon
Without Moon’s caring watchful base
A woeful end awaits the human race
Without her shiny loving boon
The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon

Thank you for the feature.
Our molten core would seize up soon,
Most living things would go as well,
In the absence of the moon.
I just could not resist placing a little verse here, to pay a compliment your beautiful poem.
Thank you, Irina.
Now appearing at Mindful Poetry.
You have such a lovely picture, it'd be nice to see it pulled up into your poem rather than only in the bottom strip of attached photos.
If you're not sure how to do that, I can help you.
And it's nice to see tags on poems submitted to Mindful Poetry. One reason is that it identifies the form for your readers--although I see that you already did that in your pre-comments.
But also, when I am looking for a specific poem at Mindful Poetry, which I do frequently, I go to our group's homepage and type in the form's name in the Search Group space. All of the poems in the group's archives that are of my target form appear. Then I can run through that list to find the one I'm thinking of.
Just a couple thoughts, Irina. :-)
