Obama gives state of the candidate speech!

President Barack Hussein Obama gave what was supposed to be the State of the Union Address last night, but all I heard was how everything is wonderful and he wants four more years.

Candidate Obama was weak on addressing issues that concern Americans. Obama pats the backs of the teachers' union while he skirted real issues such as unemployment the growing National Debt.

He promises to keep on keeping on, but we cannot afford it. Is he blind to the polls? People are fed up with President Obama's policies. I was hoping for a speech with substance, but I got is what he gave to the American people: he talks pretty and says nothing.

His address was that of candidate Obama not a president in the midst of an ecnonomic downturn that is reaching worldwide. Mr. President, say something and stop trying to look like a politician: we know what you are: no substance just a people pleaser! I am not pleased!

I watched the one were he said how wonderful he is. That one. The one were he said nothing about change.

Haven't seen it yet, but if it's anything like a normal SOTU, it says little about the SOTU. The SOTU has evolved into a dramatic, televised hour of propaganda.

Every Presidential address both and I mean "BOTH" Republican or Democratic use said address to push their own and their partys agenda. To say other wise is to laughable

I was hoping he was announcing that he was stepping down. Remember when he said he would be a one term president if he couldn't turn around the economy in 3 years?

I think we can all take from the speech, he is doubling down on the spending and pushing the accelerator towards bankruptcy for our nation. The one thing I agreed with is that congress should immediately do as he asked, and make ll members put invested assets into blind trusts, so they cannot do insider trading.

He claims the economy is doing better and that jobs have been created? Where was this? How much do those jobs pay? Because in our journal as of yesterday, our unemployment rates went up, and the county right next to us, is actually laying off teachers and service workers... Maybe, he moved the state of WV to Asia like Hawaii is now there too , or at least according to him it is..

The only jobs I know of are low paying jobs. The economy is in a sad and sorry state.

I liked the "insider trading" point He made. The rest of the speech was how he is basically assuming dictatorial power. You know, that ol' congressional firewall thingie. Who needs congress? If they are not part of the "solution", then they are part of if not all of the "problem". He don't need no pesky congress. They just get in the way!

GM should have been allowed to go the way of bankruptcy in the usual process. There would have been an orderly reorganization with the bad stuff spun off and the good stuff kept. Sure there would have been some pain but the co. would have emerged a stronger co. But nnnnoooo let's give it to the unions and pay for it with taxpayer money. The allegation that everyone would lose their jobs was pure fantasy.

I could say more but we all know this stuff anyway. I am just preaching to the choir. I have watched this admin since day 1 and where we were using a shovel to dig a hole, this admin brought in a huge automated digger like they use in strip mining
