Viola-player LukᚠKmi? made lemonade out of lemons. While playing a solo at a synagogue in Presov, Slovakia, a Nokia ringtone filled the airy room. With a touch of class and elegance, the musician played the tone back, viola-style. Then, Kmi? went on to freestyle with the melody, according to a Los Angeles Times blog post.
Now, that's a musician with both wit and class. Instead of stopping the show, or walking off stage in disgust, Kmi? had fun with the awkward situation. Although the musician played along to the disruptive tune, the look on his face in this You Tube video is one of disgust and surprise.
The audience begins chattering when Kmi? mocks the rude cellphone user. Then the musician makes a stately stare into the audience to prove his version of the Nokia ringtone is well, much more appropriate for a solo. The performance ends with a shoulder shrug of disbelief, a coy smile, a bow and a well-composed musician. Bravo, LukᚠKmi? for your professionalism.
