I believe she has a mental illness, maybe narcissistic personality disorder? She doesn't seem to process the world like other people.

I had hope for her. But I was wrong I guess. I was kinda hoping that she would get her act together and live a normal life. But maybe what she is living is normal for her. I am not one to judge..not my place.

Having an "opinion" is not judging someone...You know right and wrong...You have to be in a position to hold a person to some sort of accountability before you can actually exercise "judging" them...This attitude is one of the reasons I believe she got away with murder...someone on the jury didn't think they were supposed to "judge" somebody...If everybody felt that way, guess we could do away with prisons, huh???

Most if the illiterate comments here are irrelevant posturing. What must be stressed is that there is no evidence, NONE, that Ms Anthony abused, neglected, or murdered her daughter. There is no DNA, no fingerprints, eyewitnesses. There is no legitimate forensic science. The three pieces of Henkel brand duct tape had no Anthony family DNA or fingerprints, and it is was the testimony of one forensic scientist the duct tape had, in fact, been planted on the skeleton later to keep the child's jaw in situ. The one, dime-sized piece of duct tape which allegedly had 'heart-shaped' residue on it was destroyed during FBI testing, and never photographed. Memory of the residue is not admissible evidence, but hearsay. The single 9" long hair fragment found in the trunk of Ms Anthony's car cannot be identified. 'Smell' is not a science, and there is NO evidence to prove a child's body had decomposed in the car trunk. Moreover, witnesses testified Ms Anthony was a marvellous mother. What exists are hysterical, Victorian screeds by the Queen of Grief Porn and her fascist acolytes who, on television, want a live broadcast of Ms Anthony being drawn-and-quartered, then burned at the stake wrapped in the Constitution they detest. They WANT her guilty, always displaying the failing covalent bonds of their lesion-damaged brain tissue. In fact, Ms Anthony is INNOCENT...and this incontrovertible fact drives them into apoplexy. She was saved from state-sanctioned murder by a formidable defense team, who were continually slandered by mediasaurs and their type writers -- Jose Baez, Cheney Mason, Linda Baden, Rosalie Bolin, Ann Finnell, Lisabeth Fryer, Dorothy Clay Sims, among others. If they truly believe in her innocence, perhaps they should all take monthly turns of allowing her to live in their homes, with access to their bank accounts and as a nanny to their family's toddlers. How much you wanna bet THAT'll ever happen?

As a mother I know one thing - something must be seriously wrong with her personality that she could live as nothing happened when her daughter was missing. I wouldn't sleep, eat and I wouldn't left a stone unturned if it was, heaven forbid, my child. So, yes there is no proof that she is guilty of cold-blooded murder but definitely she wasn't an excellent mother.

Thank You Stephan!! People take pleasure in dragging others in the mud without giving them a chance to defend themselves. I really respect her defense team. To defend someone that has been slandered so well in the media is not an easy task. But prosecution had no case and was trying to use public opinion as evidence. Thank God, it did not work. I was watching the ww3 yesterday and was reminded what happen when public opinion is the only evidence. Very dangerous!!!

Why is it nobody agrees to the innocent until proven guilty? We as a society are so quick to judge. The people in the jury were also moms and dads there and if after seeing the evidences they feel that she was guilty. Then she is not guilty. We are quicker to think that a mom will kill his own child that she raised for sometime then we are to believe that she might not have panicked like we would. She carried that child into the world. Don't you think have she been so evil, she would have done the easiest thing which is abortion. I have seen the way people where also quick to judge Joe Paterno on the child abuse case. And now that he is dead I guess they are feeling better about it. Stop judging before we get all the facts. Cause with the quickness that you judged, you might one day be in a situation where a lot might looked bad but YOU are innocent. Life is not black and white. So leave the lady alone! She went to court and was declared NOT GUILTY! Can we for one moment start giving people the benefit of the doubt!

1. Joe Paterno was scum/won't be missed by me. Anyone who values their precious sports and business contracts over doing the right thing (calling police immediately, which he wouldn't do) deserves all the bad that happens to them. I hope his cancer hurt.

2. Casey Anthony was also convicted of lying and hindering the investigation into her daughter's so called "disappearance."


I suggest crying to the paterno and casey anthony fans. People with common sense who don't look at children as 3rd class citizens will continue discussing the facts and obviousness of the matters.

The court of public opinion can truly alter our views of things. Like I said, we are so quick to judge without taking a look back and see the whole picture. In the case of Casey Anthony while her apparent comfort when her child was missing make her responsible for negligence. One need to think long and hard of what would be her motives to kill her daughter. Another thing to look at is usually when someone is malicious and wants to kill wouldn't she have a better alibi. Wouldn't she act more normal if her intent was to hide her crime. I know we want to quickly crucify her but think twice before we put someone in the death row.
Now for Joe Paterno, he was not the one that did not call the police. The one that needed to call the police was the person that discover the crime. If you see someone raping somebody, you call 911 right away. It's pretty simple. Now, if you call someone else that did not see the crime. You cannot expect that person to call 911 because he was not there. The only proof he had of the crime is your testimony. The only reason Joe was called is because of his integrity. Joe Paterno does not put his football first. Cause contrary to other coaches that used the players for their program success and discard them, Joe made sure that everyone in his program graduate. He helped those kids to become better citizen. He used the money that he earned to improve his school and his community. For his whole life of integrity to be thrown away, for not calling 911 on a crime he did not witness show you how we love to crucify people at the court of public opinion without looking all the facts. Should things be done differently? Of course! Could he have done more? Maybe! But his reason for not doing more had nothing to do with trying to cover for his friend. When it comes to sex and what's happening in someone bedroom, it's a very hard subject to confront people about. I will understand this will be something way beyond Joe Paterno expertise and he felt that he rather hand it over to someone else.
I am sure my point of view on both cases will be regarded as trying to defend them. But I am someone that try to look beyond first appearance. Cause history showed that human being and life is not black and white. That decision are not always well thought out. But they don't always define who we are, and what we do in the future.

To Hopeless Solo....Actually, the jurors that spoke DID think she was guilty of murdering her daughter...They just didn't understand that reasonable doubt didn't mean NO DOUBT...They have said they just didn't feel the prosecutors could prove it beyond NO DOUBT...which is impossible unless the juror was there to witness who did it...Dumb jury was the luck of Casey Anthony...They will now have to live with that decision...

Also, Hopeless, she DID want to give the child up for adoption...Her lovely mother Cindy wouldn't have that and forced her to keep a child she didn't want...She has to live with her decisions, too...although she is so far in denial, I doubt she knows which is up and down at this point...

She wanted to give her child up for adoption, her mom said no. So she killed her! Is that what you are trying to tell me? Again, I believe in justice. But, I think if one get a pass in life why not giving it to them. And the juror like you said THINK she was guilty. Thinking is not knowing or proving. Like we said often its innocent until PROVEN guilty. Not the other way around!!

You are the one that implied that if she were going to murder her daughter, she would have had an abortion...I was responding to your statement, that, she didn't WANT her daughter to start with...and besides, there are many mothers who have murdered children that WERE wanted, so that is a useless point in my humble opinion...Also, you implied that because the jury found her "not guilty", that somehow that meant they felt she was innocent...Again, I was merely pointing out that was another useless point...They did believe she was guilty, and if they had understood the instructions better, they would probably have found her "guilty"...Thinking to me is the same as believing...If I think you are (fill in the blank) , I can't KNOW it , but I can believe it...No juror could have possibly known if she was innocent or guilty without seeing it themselves...But you have to have beyond REASONABLE doubt the person did it...This jury has stated that they thought if they had ANY doubt they were to find her NOT GUILTY...Do you see what I am getting at???Nobody can have NO doubt without witnessing it...This jury didn't get proper instructions and so blew it...Perhaps you might feel different if you were on the victim side of a crime...Justice was not served here...But you are free to be in the 1 or 2 % that feel it was...OJ still has people believing he is innocent, too...You realize after a certain point, you can't get through a brick wall with some people:)

Something happened to her dad during all this. Because there was a complete change about him to where he had to be hospitalized over depression and suicidal thoughts, according to news reports.

Now, here is what 'I think', its called conjecture.........

I think her dad found out what really happened to Caylee, and it pushed him over the edge, that and the accusations from Casey about being abused was too much for him.

Whatever happened, George Anthony, found out the truth, and is living with a deep dark secret that he will probably never tell to protect his daughter, but he is having a hard time living with the secret, and the strain that Casey is putting on the family I suspect will lead to a divorce or continuance of him not being there when she shows up.

Casey Anthony's ACTIONS AND LIES point directly back at her for being guilty. She denied during the investigation that her child had drowned in the pool......As far as DNA evidence being on the duct tape, it is possible that the person wore gloves when handling it.

It is pure speculation that George Anthony knows something, and even though Casey can never be tried again even if she were to shout from the roof tops that she is guilty as all get out, What really happened to Caylee will be taken to some graves......and for that justice failed Caylee.

A 12-page report released today by the Florida Department of Children and Families says Casey Anthony is "responsible" for Caylee's death and is also responsible for threatening harm upon her and failing to protect her.

"The Department of Children and Families concludes that the lack of actions by the alleged perpetrator ultimately resulted or contributed in the death of the child/vic...," the report says. "While the cause of death is not known, the Department concludes the death to be as a result of abuse or neglect based on the manner of death by the [medical examiner], and the state of the body upon recovery."

while Caylee was missing for 31 days before her mother reported that fact, Anthony's failure to report her own child missing "ultimately resulted in her inability to protect the child from harm."

Casey Anthony decided that upon her release from jail, her primary concern & focus would be reconciliation and re-connection with her family. She is simply trying to put her life back together and live in peace & dignity. She is a splendid & courageous young lady.
