It was at the Rio and myself and a good friend of mine went to it. It was called "De La
Guarda" it was a stand up only show, in a makeshift theater in the back area of the RIOÂ All Suites and Casino parking lot. Among the maybe few hundred attendees was Gary Dourdan of CSI: Las Vegas fame. This was in the year 2000 so it was I think probably during there first shoots of the great TV show.
Well the show was awesome it was something that I never witnessed before. And probably never will again in life. The guys and girls
of the show were dancing from bungee chords and it was a spectacular thing to do granted we were all standing and listening to the music and keeping our heads and eyes facing the acrobats and wondering if we were next to be lifted to this 30+ foot ceiling via 2 swinging hands and arms. Nonetheless it was a experience I can say was a Cirque Du Happiness.
We now know how a show is suppose to be done in the realm of theater, dance, music effects and lighting as well. I want to personally thank all the Cirque Du Soleil choreographers, performers, lighting and tech people as well. We appreciate it.
