Long before Andy Cohen created The Real Housewives franchise, he was reportedly asked to be on The Bachelor. This was long before the show became a hit. He claims that his picture was spotted with W-Magazine and the producers wanted him to try out for the show. "I got a call once years ago before anybody knew who I was. My picture was in Wmagazine, and the producers of The Bachelor called. They were calling to see if I would ever be interested in going through the casting process," he explains.
It is quite ironic that the producers of the hit ABC show would ask Andy Cohen to be the newest bachelor for the show. This is because of Andy's sexuality, but surely the producers didn't know that as he wasn't as famous then as he is now. "You are barking up the wrong tree," he explains.
Sure it wouldn't be too out there if the show did a show focusing on finding Andy a new man. But the single producer for Bravo spent his time creating the successful The Real Housewives franchise, which has put him on the map. After creating six different, Housewives shows, he could be ready for love.
Perhaps Andy should give Chris Harrison a call.
